Reading poetry is a maturation process. These five books are just that in context. They are in the order of writing and publication starting with “A Promise”. and ending with “Thresholds”. My sixth book “Daemonium” will be out soon.
Most of us are average at reading poetry or depend on historical poetry to show our expertise which already may have written summaries and interpretations. Reading those historical summaries and interpretations is important in the overall experience of poetry comprehension. It lowers the bar of frustration to improve your skills. It gives you a starting point to visualize what other people think. You may discover the critic or poet you are reading are asking or writing about just the same various subjects you deem important. You are not limited if you believe so. Having great substantive thoughts as the masters of verse may have, is within your capability. Sometimes it just takes time to mature into the thought processes. After all, if we live long enough, we do get to pretty much the same philosophical point as everyone else, asking those important questions about life along the way and what might be the next experience. A great poet once said to a young poet who was in a sense requesting to be validated, and I am paraphrasing, write because you must. It is a truthful statement of the creative process.

In these poems, life comes alive in words meticulously chosen for their ability to express feelings, thoughts, regrets, sorrows and joy – the myriad of emotions that are woven in the tapestry that is human experience.
